The first nationwide GPRS coverage in the country
Orange Mobile offers you a nationwide coverage of GPRS service for your wireless internet access.
By using GPRS, you will be able to access several Orange Mobile services any time anywhere.
What is GPRS?
GPRS (General Packet Radio Services); its a new technology or a carrier that allows you to access information on the go; GPRS lets you get to the information you need, when you need it. It makes your laptop, handled device or PDA a true extension of your office.
Whether you are in a taxi, an airport or just in a hurry, GPRS keeps you connected wirelessly.
Why GPRS? |
GPRS technology enables data billing, which means you will be billed for the amount of data actually sent and received only, rather than for the time you have spent online, this way you can afford to stay online longer. In fact Orange mobile does not charge a monthly fee for GPRS so you really only pay for what you use |

Connecting to the internet
When the customer faces a problem connecting the PC to the internet via the mobile, we must check if the line and the service are active or not, then we check the customer line on the HLR tool, and finally the mobile settings.
As for the mobile, we must check the Access Point name for Nokia phones in the following steps:
Tools – settings – packet data – net.orange.jo
And for all phones it’s better to the customer to install the handset enclosed CD to his computer to make it easier, then he should set the PC settings as follows:
Control panel – internet options – connection – setup – then choose next from the settings wizard – the username and password is : internet, dial up no. : *99***1# as the following steps. And at the connection wizard we must choose the mobile modem as the default modem and for Sony Ericsson we can change the no at the dial up instead of 1 we can try 2 or 3.
