​​“Orange Jordan” signs partnership agreement with TAG-Org to introduce new tax-free shopping services in its showrooms Orange Jordan recently signed a partnership agreement with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) to provide an exclusive sales tax refund in all of its showrooms for customers who have residency outside of Jordan or are holders of a non-Jordanian passport. The agreement came during a signing ceremony held at TAG University and that was attended by Chairman of TAG-Org Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and, from Orange Jordan, CEO Jérôme Hénique and Deputy CEO and Chief Consumer Officer Patrice Lozé, along with a number of top officials from both sides. With this agreement, Orange Jordan joins a network of accredited merchants that are offering sales tax-free shopping to tourists and Jordanians not residing in the Kingdom, and will become part of a larger group that aims to stimulate tourism. Customers wishing to benefit from this exclusive refund are requested to fill out the designated tax-free form upon making a purchase in any of Orange Jordan’s showrooms displaying the tax-free sign. Before leaving the country, customers then present their passport, proof of purchase (receipt), and actual item bought from Orange, at the customs desk in order to receive their refund. Through TAG’s new tax-free shopping initiative, the group will manage all procedures for the qualified beneficiaries, after signing a contract with the Ministry of Finance’s Income and Sales Tax Department.During the ceremony, Chairman of TAG-Org Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh pointed to the importance of this commercial activity and its direct link to tourism, affirming that tourism is internationally recognized as an integral part of a country’s economy.
