Orange Jordan launches the sixth local edition of Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP)

Orange Jordan announced the launch of the sixth local edition of Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2022, opening registration for interested entrepreneurs to participate and present their innovative tech-based projects starting March 28 till May 27.

The prize seeks to encourage youth to share their innovations that provide solutions for the community in various fields such as health, agriculture, education, energy, e-commerce, and manufacturing, in addition to showcasing and honoring innovators. 

The OSVP is held locally and internationally, as part of Orange Jordan’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs under its corporate social responsibility strategy that focuses on digital education, digital inclusion, and entrepreneurship. 

The criteria for this year’s edition include that the project provides an applicable prototype or be in the growth phase, or be a registered company, to attract investors. The project must also be competitive, and feasible with an opportunity for growth and sustainability in the Kingdom and neighboring countries, as well as an environmental and social impact. 

Those interested in the prize can apply through https://poesam.orange.com in English and French until May 27, 2022. 

Three projects will be selected by a specialized jury committee in the local edition, as the first winner will receive JD 5,000, the second winner JD 3,000, and the third winner JD 2,000.

Winners in the local edition will also qualify for the international edition, where the grand prize is Euro 25,000 for the first winner, Euro 15,000 for the second winner, Euro 10,000 for the third winner, and a prize of Euro 20,000 will be granted to projects founded by women. 

The local prize jury comprises the CEO of Information and Communications Technology Association – Jordan (int@j), Eng. Nidal Bitar, Managing Partner at Amam Ventures, Fida Taher, CEO at Injaz, Deema Bibi, CEO at Education for Employment -Jordan, Ghadeer Khuffash, Regional Director and Head of Programs at Ruwwad Al Tanmeya, Samar Dudin, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Jordan, Dr. Yazan Al Zain and Deputy Chief PR, CSR, Corporate Communication Officer, Eng. Rana Al Dababneh.
