Adaileh Patronizes Petra News App Launch

​Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, patronized the launch of the Jordanian News Agency, Petra application, which was developed in partnership between Orange Jordan and the agency; the main official source for trusted local and international news, with the presence of Petra Director General, Fayeq Hijazeen, Orange Jordan CFO, Raslan Deiranieh, and colleagues from both parties. This application is a result of a long-term strategic partnership between Orange Jordan and Petra, where the company supported previously the news app to contribute in enforcing this national media institution efforts in publishing news and elevating performance.  H.E. Amjad Adaileh, said that Petra is the interface of national media and the voice through which Jordanians express their positions and aspirations and supporting the efforts of this prestigious national institution reflects the spirit of national responsibility.The Minister of State for media affairs also thanked Orange for supporting the agency and its contribution in updating the news app and offering it in an easy and modern outlook, to facilitate delivering reliable media message for everyone, through social media and online platforms. Deiranieh stated that the company formed great relations with the Jordanian media industry, as its one of the pillars of the local telecoms industry, enabling the other economic sectors, and the company aims to develop and to enhance reliance on information technology in local media through strategic partnerships, noting that the News Petra app is a great step towards digital transformation in this vital field.   He also stressed that this great project was executed by Orange Coding Academy top graduates, Asem Qaffaf and Ayham Zaid, under the supervision of the academy's manager, Rami Abul Samen and Trainer Khadija Hamdan, where the company reaffirms its interest in the Jordanian youth and its trust in them after completing the first training course, to manage this special project and proof their abilities and skills they gained during the training to exhibit a successful and effective model.  From his side, Petra News Agency Director General, Fayeq Hijazeen, said that the application is compatible with all mobile devices to allow news distribution among all society segments, especially youth, allowing for fast browsing and sharing news on social media and personal pages for the app's followers. The app's new edition was developed using modern technology that supports Android and IOS, to guarantee easy and flexible experiences for the users with its modern design and new interface and many added features such as: news classification, instant notifications for breaking news around the clock, change to English language, news ticker, live broadcast, photos & videos gallery and selecting reading mode for day & night.  -END-
