Ministers of Health and Digital Economy visit Orange COVID vaccine station

​Minister of Health, Dr. Feras Al Hawari, and Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hanandeh, visited the COVID vaccine station established by Orange Foundation Jordan and funded by the Orange Foundation, at the Orange Digital Village located in Abdali, in cooperation with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management and the Ministry of Health. Orange Jordan's CEO, Thierry Marigny, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Adel Belbeisi, Deputy CEO/ Chief Financial and Strategy Officer at Orange Jordan, Raslan Deiranieh and several executives from the company were present during the visit.  People who wish to take the vaccine can select the Orange Digital Village station on the national vaccination platform http://vaccine.jo, with 19 points available to vaccinate 2500 people every day from 8:30 AM till 3:00 PM. The usual registration process applies to the new location, which requires signing on the platform and choosing the location, then receiving the appointment from the Ministry of Health.Orange Jordan said that it continues to support the government's development and economic projects, noting that since the pandemic outbreak it has been keen to play a vital role by launching and supporting various initiatives.Orange Jordan's efforts during the pandemic include reinforcing networks to ensure the continuity of remote work and study, providing cash and in-kind support to the government, represented by the ministry of health, and offering financial services through its e-wallet Orange Money.The new initiative adopted by Orange Foundation Jordan aims at helping the government in reaching a safe summer by vaccinating the largest number of citizens at the new drive-thru/walk-thru vaccination station. Orange Global Foundation, the Group's arm for philanthropy and social responsibility, has launched several initiatives to support the national vaccination campaigns against COVID in MENA countries and the health sector. Under Orange Jordan's cooperation with the Al Walaa Company for Subsistence Services, a company of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Al Walaa company provided free meals to the Orange COVID vaccine station's staff, as part of the Armed Forces' role in supporting local communities and helping official authorities to vaccinate as many people as possible.   -End-
