Mobile FabLab in a new Location in cooperation with the Hashemite University

Orange Jordan and Luminous Shamal Start launched the fourth cohort of the Mobile FabLab at the Hashemite University in Zarqa Governorate, which is its fourth destination, in continuation of the lab's journey that graduated 44 male and female students in the previous locations in Jerash, Mafraq, and Ajloun, as part of a strategic partnership that brings together the two parties to promote digital education and introduce the increasingly required digital manufacturing skills, thus enhancing opportunities for young people in the labor market and entrepreneurship. The inauguration of the Mobile FabLab at the Hashemite University was attended by the university president, Prof. Dr. Fawwaz Abdel Haq Al-Zaben, the Dean of the Engineering Faculty, Dr. Awni Itradat, the mobile FabLab manager, Yazan Al-Dabbas, Luminus Shamal Start Project Manager, Eng. Ibrahim Faza, Deputy Chief of PR, CSR and Corporate Communication, at Orange Jordan, Eng. Rana Al-Dababneh, Orange Fabrication Labs & Innovation Manager, Reham Abdel Rahim, Orange Community Digital Centers Manager, Hashem Ayoub. The mobile FabLab aims to empower young men and women in the governorates of Jordan in digital manufacturing, It will also provide an opportunity for Hashemite University students to be trained in the latest skills, hardware, and software that suit the rapidly changing labor market. During the launch of the new cohort of the mobile FabLab, Orange Jordan introduced the latest services and offers designed to serve students and enhance their communication with their colleagues and universities in line with their requirements and aspirations of digital solutions. Luminus Shamal Start Manager, Eng. Ibrahim Faza emphasized that Luminus Shamal Start will continue its approach aimed at empowering young men and women in various governorates of Jordan and bridging the gap related to the concept of digital manufacturing and entrepreneurship. Orange Jordan noted that its commitment to spreading digital culture among young people is part of its corporate social responsibility to support and empower young people through free training programs that enhance their opportunities in the labor market and launch pioneering projects that, in turn, contribute to socio-economic development, based on its role as a responsible digital leader. The mobile FabLab, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, provides an integrated infrastructure for education and training of beneficiaries on the latest devices, tools, and software in the field of digital manufacturing, such as web development, technology-enabled design, and cutting, 3D scanning and printing, design and manufacture of electronic panels and programming. -End- ​
