Orange Jordan and JOHUD renew their "Goodwill Campaign" Agreement
5 Apr 2022
Orange Jordan and the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) recently renewed their strategic partnership agreement, which has been in place since 2001, and is directed at supporting families and individuals most in need of humanitarian and educational aid in the Kingdom. The agreement was signed by Thierry Marigny, CEO of Orange Jordan, and Farah Al Daghestani, Executive Director of JOHUD. Under the partnership, Orange Jordan continues its support for JOHUD's humanitarian "Goodwill Campaign" which focuses on health, education, and emergency assistance for struggling families in winter and under difficult conditions such as the Corona pandemic, within the "Droub Al-Kheir" program. The company will support the fund's educational programs through 17 scholarships for university students, two of which will be allocated to students with mobility disabilities, thus contributing to helping these students continue their studies and increasing their chances to succeed in the labor market and become leaders. Commenting on this, Marigny said that this strategic partnership is based on a shared sense of social solidarity and been ongoing for 16 years, indicating that the agreement includes the commitment of both parties to provide support to people, cover their basic needs in in times of hardship and improve their conditions so that they are empowered to grow and contribute actively to economic and social development and improve their own living conditions. Marigny pointed out that the social responsibility strategy of Orange Jordan, as a leading and responsible digital leader, places great importance in partnerships with civil society institutions which enable it to provide continuous support and a generate a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families who form the basis of society. For her part, the Executive Director of JOHUD, Farah Al-Daghestani, praised their partnership with Orange Jordan, which has become a model for sustainable support based on humanitarian assistance and the positive impact it continues to have on families and individuals suffering difficult economic and social conditions, by improving their living and educational conditions and in the spirit of social solidarity support them to actively contribute to their own development and that of their communities. It is noteworthy that the company also continues to support a range of programs implemented by the fund, especially its women digital centers, which provide integrated training on key digital and soft skills at several JOHUD sites to enable female participants in the fund's programs to create and market small income-generating projects. It also provides the opportunity for youth to join its "BIG" business accelerator, which was recently launched in Aqaba Governorate, to develop young people's entrepreneurial projects and enhance their skills. -End-
