As part of its social responsibility toward the local community and responding to humanitarian duties, Orange Jordan recently assisted Jordan Air Ambulance Center to transport a patient, who suffered from a spinal fracture, from Queen Rania Al Abdullah hospital in Petra to Al-Hussein Medical City in Amman.   Orange Jordan's support for Jordan Air Ambulance Center (JAAC) comes as part of the strategic partnership between the two parties as Orange Jordan has been their exclusive telecommunications provider for two years.  For the second year in a row, Orange Jordan is providing the center with a bundle of integrated telecommunications services, including bulk SMS services to raise awareness about the services offered by JAAC, wireless internet on airplanes and web hosting, in addition to sponsoring the center’s various operations like providing specialized rescue services to patients and the injured. Orange Jordan has transferred several patients with critical conditions during the past year and the beginning of this year, in order to strengthen the health care sector in the Kingdom.  Commenting on the occasion, Chief Enterprise Officer of the Business Unit at Orange Jordan, Mr. Sami Smeirat said, “At Orange Jordan, we are proud to support and sponsor the noble efforts of the Jordan Air Ambulance Center, as we are committed to support our customers from the business sector and help in developing their business, through providing them with an integrated bundle of telecom services, which contributes effectively in enhancing the medical emergency services in the Kingdom and helps save lives, which goes in line with our five-year corporate strategy “Essentials 2020” that places customers and community service at the forefront of its concern.”  CEO of JAAC, Mr. Rami Amoush, said that the JAAC was established under Royal Directives in 2014 and launched its operations in late 2015, to serve as an independent government institution. The JAAC aims to provide specialized rescue operations and airlift patients by helicopter, complete with air ambulance equipment, focusing on serving patients in remote areas and enhance their access to hospitals and health centers.  End -
