Orange Jordan builds 13 homes in Al Jeeza and Al Muwaqqar

6 Dec 2017
In support of the Royal initiative for housing underprivileged families, Orange Jordan helped construct 13 homes in Al Jeeza and Al Muwaqqar districts. Keeping sustainability in mind, the houses were built with solar heaters and energy-saving lighting units, with an aim to reduce the electricity bill and other living necessities. The initiative saw the participation of a large number of NAMA volunteers; Orange Jordan’s Corporate Social Responsibility Club. Orange Jordan participated in the handing-over ceremony of the 13 homes, in the presence of the Social Development Minister, HE Hala Lattouf and the Royal Court Secretary General Yousef Issawi, officials and directors of departments and institutions of the two regions. The support of the housing initiative in Al Jeeza and Al Muwaqqar districts stems from Orange Jordan's commitment to help local communities improve their lives, through mitigating the hardships of underprivileged, middle- and low-income families by enabling them to meet their basic needs such as adequate housing and consequently, enhancing socioeconomic security. The initiative launched under the Royal directive in 2005, has provided over three thousand beneficiaries across the kingdom, with homes. Orange Jordan’s support and sponsorship, stems from its commitment to fulfill its humanitarian duties towards the local communities it operates in, with a focus on the various governorates of the Kingdom, which is in line with its corporate social responsibility plan, inspired by its five-year corporate strategy, Essentials 2020 that aims to improve the lives of people from different segments and connect them to all that is essential to them. -END-
