Orange Jordan enhances its network in Irbid governorate to provide high-quality services
22 Nov 2017
Orange Jordan's CEO Jérôme Hénique announced the company's implementation of network enhancement in different areas in the governorate of Irbid. The announcement was made during a press conference held in Irbid recently, in the presence of Chief ITN & Wholesale Officer Waleed Al Doulat, Marketing Director of the Consumer Unit Naela Al Daoud along with a number of its managers and representatives of various media. During the press conference Hénique stated that the enhancement of Orange Jordan's network in Irbid is part of its plan to upgrade its 4G network in the Kingdom's different cities and governorates, saying that this step stems from its continuous efforts to offer the best experience to its customers wherever they are through providing high-quality telecommunication and Internet services, stressing on the company's determination to make tangible digital progress in all regions of the Kingdom. Hénique added, "Since the launch of our five-year corporate strategy "Essentials 2020" in 2015, we at Orange Jordan have made substantial investments that will reach up to JD 300 million by the year 2020, in order to develop and enhance the infrastructure through launching Next Generation Networks (NGNs), including LTE, Fiber-To-The Home (FTTH), Fiber-To-The-Business (FTTB), as well as extending coverage of 4G networks on the development of fixed-line and fiber-optic networks, in addition to improving the coverage and capacity of mobile network and transforming our customers' experience into a digital one." On his behalf, Doulat gave more details about the network enhancement process, saying that Orange Jordan added 46 new additional telecommunication towers to the existing ones in Irbid, as well as transferring 15 towers to new locations. Doulat added that, the current 4G network will be enhanced and strengthened to enrich the connectivity, which will enable customers to stay connected to the internet at high-level speeds. To take this one step further, he pointed out that, Orange Jordan recently developed a special offer for Irbid customers, which includes voice services and additional free data to elevate their experience. Also highlighting that, since adding 21 new ADSL sites in Irbid to improve the ADSL network there has been a 50% increase in speed. Concluding by saying that, Fiber-optic service has been introduced in Al Rabia - Irbid, which serves 4,000 homes and in 2018, will reach other areas in Irbid ; to enable customers to enjoy internet at the highest speeds with the best service. From her side, Al Daoud stated that Orange Jordan has designed new offers to complement the network enhancement in Irbid. These offers are based on the concept of "Listening and Responding", where the company constantly conducts "voice of the customer" studies in order to understand their needs and requirements and accordingly design the best offers that suit and meet them, with an aim to provide a richer telecommunications experience. Al Daoud added "We have designed special packages with our prepaid lines, that will include Orange 7 and above, as well as "Humat Al Watan" golden line, offering subscribers 500 minutes to call all networks and an extra 5 GB free to be used inside Irbid. We have also included new ADSL offers, with high speeds and unlimited internet capacity from the strongest provider of fast internet in the Kingdom, at competitive prices starting at JD 10." Orange Jordan currently covers 95% of the Kingdom's populated areas with 4G/LTE and has deployed 6,000 kilometers of FTTB cable and is in the process of installing more than 700 kilometers of FTTH cable.
