Orange Jordan is the exclusive telecom sponsor of the Jordan Basketball League

​In a press conference held via video conferencing, Orange Jordan announced the signing of an agreement with the Jordan Basketball Federation, under which the company will provide exclusive telecom sponsorship for the national team and tournament and offer audiences the opportunity to watch the matches remotely. The conference was attended by the CEO of Orange Jordan, Thierry Marigny and President of Jordan Basketball Federation, Mohammad Alayyan, and representatives of the media. The conference was held through Microsoft Teams, in line with preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus, the conference was attended by Chief Consumer Market Officer at Orange, Naila Al Dawoud, and the federations' secretary-General Engineer, Nabil Abu Atta. This agreement is an extension of the partnership between Orange Jordan and the Jordanian basketball, as the company supported the national basketball team - the Jordan Falcons in their journey in the 2019 World Cup finals.  Orange Jordan will offer its exclusive sponsorship to the Jordan Basketball Federation for the 2020-2021 season, including the Jordanian Basketball Preliminary League, the Jordanian League for all-age groups, the Jordanian Women's League, in addition to the national team that will participate in the 2021 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.  Orange Jordan will support basketball fans in attending matches through visual communication technologies; using LED screens across the stadium and for the players to have the support and enthusiasm of the fans, in a simulation of actual matches.  Marigny said: "We are proud of this partnership that supports talented youth in a very popular sport, as we are keen to harness modern technology to ensure enhanced experiences for Jordanian audiences and players, which in turn contribute to the digital transformation in the field of sports." Alayyan praised the role of Orange Jordan in supporting Jordanian basketball, and stressed on the importance of this agreement, which strengthens the strategic partnership aimed at promoting sports experiences, especially as it creates innovative uses of technology to develop these experiences for basketball players and fans in the Kingdom.  Orange Jordan provided its support to the Falcons in their World Cup journey in 2019, within the framework of its social responsibility that focuses on youth by providing them with; the necessary skills and enhancing their active participation, including sports activities.  -END-
