Orange Jordan honors Heba Shabrouq the winner of the best technological project prize in the US

20 Nov 2017
Orange Jordan recently honored its Telecommunications Engineer and Product Marketing Expert, Heba Shabrouq, who was one of five Jordanian women, participating in the world's biggest technology gathering for women, held in the US. The five women were awarded the best technological project prize from among 100 participants. The idea of the "Azwa" project, which was submitted by the five participants: Heba Shabrouq, Ala Agha Karss, Aseel Musa, Nour Tubassi and Thilal Sharman, is based on supporting orphans in Jordan, particularly girls, as only a small percentage of them attend universities due to financial problems, in addition to lacking life and communication skills. The project provides means to overcome these problems, through training and  developing skills at a practical and societal level, which will contribute to positively changing their perspective on  life.  Orange Jordan is proud of its outstanding employees and continuously aims to distinguish itself from other companies, be it through achievements or initiatives. The company is committed both directly and indirectly to supporting its employees, in order to enable them to reach the top, such as Engineer Shabrouq, who was one of the winners with the "Azwa" project, which serves a segment that truly needs support and  benefits a large number of orphans in the long run. "Azwa" won from among 20 other projects that were presented to a panel comprising Microsoft and other major companies based in Silicon Valley in the United States of America. This event is one of the biggest gatherings for women in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The women's technology gathering takes place in the United States and lasts 40 days. The five Jordanian women were selected after a tough selection process from among 100 participants from 21 countries and out of 4,000 applicants.
