Orange Jordan signs a strategic partnership with Microsoft Jordan

​​Orange Jordan recently announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Microsoft Jordan to provide support to the entrepreneurial startups participating in its growth-mode startup accelerator program BIG. The agreement was signed on behalf of Orange Jordan by its Chief ITN & Wholesale Officer, Mr. Waleed Al Doulat and by Microsoft’s General Manager, Mr. Hussein Malhas, in the presence of a number of employees of both companies and entrepreneurs. Under this agreement, Orange Jordan will help Microsoft Jordan to provide support to entrepreneurs, and expand its service offerings that it provides to them at BIG, through offering different packages of the latest technological and digital solutions to enhance the performance of the startups, as well as providing technical guidance, practical and training sessions by a specialized team from Microsoft Jordan. The agreement also covers conducting a number of events for entrepreneurs, which includes organizing competitions at BIG to motivate developers to integrate Microsoft tools with the Orange Application programming interface (API). Orange Jordan’s Chief ITN & Wholesale Officer, Mr. Waleed Al Doulat said: “By partnering with Microsoft Jordan, we aim to bring more benefits to both startups who have joined the BIG program, as well as to all startups in the Kingdom, which falls in line with our goals in supporting entrepreneurs and developing the ICT sector in Jordan, this contributes significantly to the development of the socioeconomic future of Jordan. We are very grateful to Microsoft Jordan for their support that will help entrepreneurs improve their skills and give them practical experience, enabling them to develop and advance their projects in the future.” The partnership comes as part of Orange Jordan's drive to enrich the services provided by its BIG program to entrepreneurs, which stems from Orange Jordan’s five-year corporate plan “Essentials 2020”, through which the company supports startups that join the program and provides the necessary support in all areas of training, guidance and support, as well as putting the focus on these companies and providing them with international exposure to showcase their services. -End-
