Orange Jordan Sponsors “Dehkeh” Campaign on World Hearing Day

​Orange Jordan has recently sponsored Mujadidoon Society for Charity and Development's "Dehkeh" project, which provided 200 students with hearing impairment from Zarqaa governorate with400 hearing aids. The project which coincided with the World Hearing Day - the 3rd of March of each year-  was executed under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, to raise awareness on how to prevent hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care.Orange Jordan said in a statement that it launched "Differently Abled, Definitely Enabled" umbrella last year with the aim to enhance the integration of people with disabilities in society and help them to become active members in it. The company noted that people with hearing impairment represent 3.1% of the Jordanian population,  which means that they need to be offered technological services that meet their needs and provided support for their activities. As the leading telecom provider and the Kingdom's digital partner, and out of its strong belief in the importance of empowering youth, Orange Jordan sponsored this campaign which falls within its corporate social responsibility, the statement said, noting that it has reflected its commitment to digital inclusion by harnessing the latest technologies and offering outstanding services and CSR programs that target different segments of the society, especially people with disabilities. Orange Jordan highlighted its efforts in supporting people with disabilities by focusing on empowering them through training and social engagement activities and providing them with services that keep them closer to their interests. The company is also keen to strengthen its partnerships with civil society organizations to raise awareness on disabled people's important role and contributions in all sectors across the Kingdom by empowering them socially, economically, and academically. The company has updated its website to enable people with visual impairments to browse it and get introduced to the latest offers and services easily. -END-
