Orange Jordan sponsors the Ibtikarthon Conference

​Orange Jordan recently sponsored the innovation and knowledge conference “Ibtikarthon”, organized by Princess Basma Youth Resource Center established under the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), in cooperation with The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and with the support of the European Union and the German Government. It was held as part of the celebrations of World Youth Day, with the participation of 60 talented young entrepreneurs from different regions of the Kingdom.  The conference aimed at providing participants with the needed personal and technical skills to transform their creative and technical ideas into real and working projects, which contribute to finding solutions to many social issues and providing opportunities to deal with modern networks and learning from the experiences of their colleagues and experts and enabling them to reach the entrepreneurial world.  During the first two days of the conference, several topics related to entrepreneurship and innovation were discussed, it also included dialogue sessions between the participants. On the third day, the jury selected three entrepreneurial projects and awarded them prizes. The first prize, with an amount of JD 10,000, was won by “Colshiless” project that aims to preserve water from leaking, while the second prize of JD 7,000, was won by the project, "EduGate" for promoting e-books and the third prize of JD 5,000, was won by the project "T.P.JO" an application to introduce tourist sites.  Commenting on the occasion, Orange Jordan’s PR, CSR and Corporate Communications Director, Rana Dababneh said: “We at Orange Jordan are committed to support the various activities, events and initiatives that strengthen the creativity of young people in general and the entrepreneurs in particular, because we believe that they are the leaders of the future who will contribute to the prosperity and sustainability of economic development.
