Orange Jordan sponsors local version of SeedStars

​Orange Jordan recently sponsored the local version of the annual SeedStars World, a global competition for startups, which was held at its Business Innovation Growth (BIG) premises, with the participation of ten startups and in the presence of a jury of judges comprised of representatives from several companies, such as Orange Jordan, SeedStars, Aramex, Silicon Badia, Oasis500, and Tamatem Games. At the local competition, Zeid Husban, Co-Founder and CEO of POSRocket, gave a speech on technological entrepreneurship in the Kingdom. Following the jury’s deliberation, 3oun Application was announced the winner in recognition and appreciation of the innovative solutions that it offers, providing a quick and easy way for people to connect with high-quality, after-sales general maintenance services. 3oun Application is one of the startups currently participating in BIG Season 3. As the winner of SeedStars World Amman, Founder of 3oun Application Sari Hweitat will be given the chance to participate in regional and international SeedStars meetings, which include training workshops and investment sessions, as well as the opportunity to receive EUR 500,000 if granted first place at the SeedStars World international competition, which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland early next year. In addition to 3oun Application’s first place at SeedStars World Amman, Repzo came in second place, and Audiogram came in third. In line with its five-year corporate strategy, Essentials 2020, Orange Jordan seeks to provide sustainable support for entrepreneurs and their startups in the Kingdom through its BIG, growth-mode startup accelerator program. BIG, which comes under Orange Global and its Orange Fab entrepreneurship support network, seeks to guide Jordanian startups in terms of expanding into new markets and strengthening their customer base. It also arms them with important tools and ensures increased business knowledge and experience attained at global conferences and various events at which they are able to showcase their services and products. SeedStars World is a global competition for startups that focuses on entrepreneurship in high-growth companies and looks for the best entrepreneurs and startups in 56 different countries to serve as platforms for building global operations. -END-
