Orange Jordan offered sponsorship to the 9th edition of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Conference-University of Jordan Student Branch (IEEE UJSB) as the exclusive telecom partner. Held under the theme “Innovation in Gaming Development”, the conference brought together university students, graduates, industry leaders, and professionals to discuss the latest updates and trends in the gaming industry.
During the conference, another significant step in placing Jordan on the global gaming map, participants were able to enhance their skills in games development-related areas including design, AI, storytelling and others. The goal is to enable more young males and females to join this evolving sector.
Commenting on its sponsorship of this event, Orange Jordan underscored its keenness to support efforts that aim to enhance youth’s creative skills in gaming. This will help gaming developers come up with games in vital areas such as technology, tourism, healthcare and others. Aligning with this, the conference included a hackathon where participants competed to develop a game that reflects the beauty of Jordan and its most prominent tourist destinations.
Orange also pointed out that the well-established partnership with universities, especially the University of Jordan, is gaining growing momentum to turn Jordan into a global hub in the booming fields. This will in turn be reflected in students’ skills positively through fostering competitiveness, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
