Image Orange CSR Giglancing program Giglancing program is One of Orange Jordan initiatives that aims to train youth and the unemployed, to engage them in gig economy and contribute in freelancing platforms What is Giglancing program? Orange Jordan launched the “Giglancing Program” to support youth with the necessary skills that will let them take the advantage of freelancing jobs opportunities through training sessions provided by experts in the fields of self-employment via the Internet, in order to make these resources available to those wishing to benefit from them throughout the Kingdom. In recent years, there has been a substantial increase in recognition of the value of work-life balance. By giving professionals the opportunity to choose their assignments and set their own timetables, giglancing offers a special option where individuals may better balance their personal and professional responsibilities, which enhances their overall wellbeing. Giglancing gives the freedom to find a balance between work and life, whether it's spending more time with family, pursuing personal interests, or living a healthy lifestyle. As part of Orange social responsibility to develop solutions for the high unemployment rate in Jordan and to take the youth work-life balance in consideration, we have developed a 5-day training course containing all details about gig economy and freelancing work, taking the participants in a full journey on how to work online and increase income. The program focuses on enhancing the capabilities of youth and women in line with the global and local market requirements, thus contributing to creating alternative job opportunities to unemployed youth. In our first cohort, we have graduated more than 1000 beneficiaries in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation and in partnership with Better Business and Khibraty. Now we have a continuous training programs that serve all youth in Jordan covering all governorates and urban regions. Participants will receive a certificate upon completing the course requirements.
