Graduation of the first group of women within the Women’s Digital Centers

​Orange Jordan, in partnership with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) celebrated the graduation of the first batch of women who participated in the Women's Digital Centers Program on Wednesday.The program was executed under the umbrella of Orange Digital Centers, and was implemented at five different locations affiliated with JOHUD, including the Queen Zein Al Sharaf Development Institute, JOHUD Social Support Center in Amman and Princess Basma Development Centers in Madaba, Al-Taibeh in Ma'an governorate and Al Khalidiya in Al-Mafraq governorate.100 women from different regions of the Kingdom, benefited from the intensive training they received in digital, management and entrepreneurship skills, in addition to building their startups and promoting them through social media channels, in order to enhance and develop their professional experience and achieve financial independence, and assisting them in creating their own income-generating projects. The graduation ceremony, which was attended by CEO of Orange Jordan, Thierry Marigny and Executive Director of JOHUD, Farah Al-Daghestani, presented the program's participants' projects and shed light on the best projects, as well as announced the winning projects, where Orange will provide grants to finance the creation of these projects.In a joint press release, Orange Jordan affirmed its belief in the importance of women, their professional abilities, and influential role in the local community, clarifying that this is the reason why women have gained the company's attention, and their empowerment was a top  priority within its strategy to develop local communities, clarifying the program that is implemented through the Women's Digital Centers, aims to help women of different ages and segments across Jordan, considering that Orange Jordan is the Kingdom's partner in digital transformation.The company also clarified that the program's success was demonstrated in the ability of participating women to start their own projects in a short period of time, hoping that the program will contribute more success for Women's Digital Centers that are affiliated with the company, through the success of the new participants.JOHUD considers that the ICT sector contributes significantly to achieving development through creating more opportunities, especially for women.JOHUD affirmed its pride in partnering with Orange Jordan and the Orange Foundation to implement meaningful programs and initiatives, clarifying that the Women's Digital Centers Program demonstrated the entrepreneurial capabilities of Jordanian women in the digital revolution, electronic marketing and their ability to enter the labor market and find new sources of income.JOHUD also pointed out its efforts in empowering Jordanian women across different regions, both socially and economically.-END-
