Orange Jordan Launches a free eLearning platform

31 Mar 2022
Under the patronage of the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh, represented by Acting Director of Initiatives and Knowledge Stations, Liza Habashneh, alongside the CEO of Orange Jordan, Thierry Marigny, Orange Jordan launched "Orange Coursat", a free eLearning platform through which students will have the opportunity to benefit from digital training courses. The launch of the platform came during a press conference held via Zoom in the presence of the company's executives, a number of Jordanian university presidents and representatives of the media. Marigny stated that the new platform reflects one of Orange Jordan's main CSR pillars, which focuses on enhancing digital education and training. This is an area which has gained increased interest following the period of distance learning during the COVID pandemic. The platform will also play an important role in accelerating digital transformation by giving youth a digital education on a global level, which increases their employability and enables them to participate in the digital economy. Marigny noted that the platform provides an effective link between those wishing to learn and develop on the one hand, and the digital requirements of the labor market on the other hand. Habashneh thanked Orange Jordan and all those responsible for the launch of the online learning platform, which is in line with the Ministry's objective to develop digital skills among Jordanian youth and meet future requirements of the labor market. This is achieved through a variety of initiatives and projects supervised by the Ministry, which empower youth intellectually and train them on global practices in the field of information technology. The "Orange Coursat" platform is available to browse for free, and is easily accessible through mobile applications for iOS and Android devices or via the website, where it is easy to register and follow courses, at any time and without specific time frames. Anyone wishing to learn, whether they are students or not, can benefit from free courses which cover different topics and digital skills via a bilingual user interface available in both Arabic and English, and will obtain a certificate of participation after completing the training course requirements.  -End-
