Orange Jordan the official telecom sponsor of the “Mentor Arabia Short Movie Competition for Youth”

​​Orange Jordan recently sponsored the closing ceremony of the Mentor Arabia Short Movie Competition for Youth, held under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ghalib Al Zu'bi, the Minister of Interior, who represented His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and in partnership with the Royal Health Awareness Society. The event was organized with the aim of educating young people about risky behaviors in general and the role of art in shedding light on important issues in society. The closing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mentor Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and distinguished artists from Jordan and the Arab world. Orange Jordan expressed its happiness and pride in being part of the closing ceremony of the competition, which was held in cooperation with a number of public and private universities and organizations working on youth issues in twelve Arab countries. The competition aimed to encourage artistic creativity among young talents and innovation through the film medium to highlight topics that reflect their concerns and as a means of expressing their views on various social and development issues. Orange Jordan stressed that it is always keen to support such local events and activities that not only aim to grow and improve the skills of the new generation, but also address development and social issues to raise their awareness. This is considered an important investment in the future of the Kingdom and the development of society to ensure the young generation is part of a healthy and secure future, which goes in line with the objectives of Orange Jordan’s Corporate Social Responsibility plan stemming from one of the five pillars of its five-year corporate strategy “Essentials 2020”. Mentor Arabia is a regional non-governmental organization, which advocates for children and youth empowerment to prevent risky behavior and drug use. It was founded in 2006 and is chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Mentor Arabia is a member of Mentor International, presided by Her Majesty Queen Sylvia of Sweden, which works to strengthen the abilities of young people to make the right decisions and enjoy a healthy and secure life. -END-
