Orange Jordan enhances Cybersecurity at HTU

​In cooperation with Orange partner, Fortinet, the world leader in integrated solutions for cybersecurity, Orange Jordan and HTU signed a new agreement. Under the agreement, Orange Jordan will provide the university with a set of technologies that ensure the highest levels of information and cyber security. This agreement comes as part of the partnership between Orange Jordan and HTU, as Orange, in partnership with FutureTech Digital Systems, provides all the information and communication technology services needed by the university. Orange Jordan will provide the university with solutions for the new generation of Firewalls, and dedicated Firewalls for web applications, and anti-spam solutions. It will also provide, implement, and manage all services and different forms of support required for the university including; hardware, operating license, the necessary installation to run cybersecurity solutions, In addition to its cooperation with Fortinet to train the university's team on all implemented services. Chief Enterprise Officer at Orange Jordan, Eng. Sami Smeirat, expressed Orange's pride in the confidence of HTU in the field of communications and information technology services, in addition to providing more services, especially in the field of cybersecurity, which has become so important in light of the expansion of digitization, especially since HTU is a distinguished university in the Kingdom to train and develop students' skills in the fields of science and technology.  Smeirat affirmed on the company's keenness to provide integrated solutions for companies from various sectors, as it is not only providing devices and services, but it seeks as a responsible digital leader to provide various requirements and support to benefit from these solutions with reliability, in addition to ensuring business flexibility and reducing operational costs, the protection of information and its continuous development to suit global changes and market trends.  President of HTU, Dr. Ismael Huneiti, valued the partnership with Orange Jordan and its contribution to strengthening the information security infrastructure and developing networks at the university. Dr. Huneiti emphasized that the university always seeks to enhance partnership with private sector companies concerned with communications and information technology, such as Orange Jordan, and indicated that this model of partnership will lead to enhancing training and work opportunities for HTU students and qualify them for the local and global labor market. HTU is one of the Crown Prince Foundation's initiative, which was established to promote technical education in Jordan and the region.-End-
