1 Dec 2019
Orange Jordan announced that it is the official telecom sponsor of the upcoming "Women on the Frontlines" conference for the fourth consecutive year. The conference, organized by the May Chidiac Foundation (MCF), will be held in Amman on December 3, under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr. Omar Al-Razzaz, with the participation of some of the most influential women in media, politics, economy, and entrepreneurship in the region and the world. In a press release issued by Orange Jordan, the company said that the sponsorship of this important conference is in line with its corporate social responsibility strategy which dedicates part of its efforts to support women and enhance their participation in society, particularly as the conference brings together women who succeeded in achieving their goals and fulfilling their aspirations in different fields. The sponsorship, asserted the company, is a part of its efforts to empower women, a goal that lies at the core of its CSR strategy, considering that supporting women will be reflected positively on the entire society. The company aims to achieve this particularly through its Women's Digital Centers, which provide women with skills necessary to succeed, and therefore increase their contribution to society, despite the challenges they face such as culture, stereotypes, transportation, and childcare. The conference, organized by MCF, a non-profit organization dedicated to research and education on issues of media, democracy, and social welfare, is set to bring together influential women in politics, economy, media, and art, to highlight stories of outstanding achievements of women in politics, veteran journalists, diplomats and advocates, in addition to addressing pressing topics such as fighting child marriage, influencers and entrepreneurs as the new face of business. The conference aims to motivate women to contribute in creating a better future, enhance their participation in leadership and change in all fields, and promote cooperation to benefit from the experiences of successful women in Jordan, the region and the world through interviews with key participants on their journeys in serving society and humanity. -END-
