Alternative Middle East Europe Route

AMEER cable was established to be an alternative route connecting Middle East with Europe avoiding Egypt and the Suez Canal.

The route starts from Datamena and reaching major POPs in Europe through a combination of terrestrial and submarine cables for a number of leading operators in the region (DU, ITC, Orange Jordan, Paltel & TTI ).

The route can carry up to 50 Gbps of protected capacity and supporting both SDH and Ethernet options, where it provides 99.9% availability for protected option and 99.5% for unprotected option. Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) for terrestrial part is 4 hours for protected and 8 hours for unprotected services.

The route is also providing competitive RTD figures of around 110 msec end-to-end.

The speed in activation and delivery is also another key advantage for this cable.

Regional Cable Network (RCN)

RCN is another alternative path connecting the Gulf with Europe, the cable starts from Fujairah-UAE and ends in Turkey passing through UAE, KSA, Jordan, Syria and Turkey.

The system has dropping points in Riyadh, Amman, Tartus, and Turkey, with the possibility of adding wet segments from Tartus landing station over other subsea cables to reach Europe and provide another kind of diversity.

The system was designed to carry a huge capacity reaching to 1.2 Tbps and provide high level of end-to-end protection.

Capacity supported by this cable are on the level of 10 Gbps, STM-16,1 Gbps and STM-4.

JADI cable (Jeddah, Amman, Damascus and Istanbul)

JADI is another fiber cable that was launched since 2010 to carry traffic between Far East and Europe.

It was launched by Orange, STC, STE and TTI, all of which are leading operators in the region, to be alternative route to the Mediterranean subsea cables voiding the region bottle neck.

The cable can carry a huge capacity, reaching to 8 Tbps towards the north (Turkey) and South (Jeddah), with high level of protection.
