Terms and Conditions

  1. Definitions:
    1. Saving account: An electronic Sub-account linked to the main wallet account, activated through Orange Money wallet application. Its purpose is to store/save funds and access them for any purposes determined by the account holder. No interest applies neither is charged to the Saving account.
    2. Main Account: The electronic wallet account.
    3. Company: Petra Mobile Payment Services Company (Orange Money).
    4. Customer: Natural person (individual) dealing with the Company
  1. The terms and conditions (T&C’s) below are considered as " Saving account Service Terms and Conditions ". The Customer acknowledges his/her awareness and agreement to these (T&C’s) which shall automatically apply upon the creation or activation of a Saving account by the customer.
  2. The Customer has the right to activate a Saving account linked to the main wallet account, with a maximum of three (3) Saving accounts per wallet account.
  3. There is no minimum balance required for maintaining the Saving account.
  4. No interest rate is granted and/or applied to the Saving account.
  5. There are no commissions and/or penalties apply on/to the Saving account.
  6. The Customer has the right - at any time - to withdraw the available amounts/funds in the Saving account by transferring the funds from the Saving account to the Main Account (wallet account).
  7. The Customer can transfer amounts between the Saving accounts that belongs to the Customer and are linked to the same Main Account.
  8. The Company has the right to set a maximum balance limit for the Saving account with prior notification to the customer of any updates. However, the main wallet account’s transaction limits and ceilings remain unchanged (limits link)
  9. The Customer has the right - at any time - to close/terminate the Saving account via the Orange Money application, without the need to visit a Orange branches.
  10. The Customer has the right - at any time - to close/terminate the Main Account (wallet account), however, must withdraw all funds from the Saving account(s).
  11. Orange Money has the right to freeze the wallet account in the event account been inactive for a prolonged period (one year), or in accordance with the terms and conditions related to dormant accounts.
  12. The terms and conditions of dormant accounts, including applicable fees, apply to the wallet account. In the event the wallet account (Main Account) turns dormant, the relevant commissions/fees will be applied and be deducted from the wallet account (Main Account) as a priority. In case the balance in the Main Account was insufficient to bear the dormancy fees due, the system will deduct the remaining amount to fully or partially cover the fees due from the Saving account(s), on old to new basis of the account creation date.
  13. The Customer can check the Saving account transactions history through the mobile application.
  14. Orange Money stands responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of the account holder's information, in accordance with applicable data privacy laws.
  15. The wallet holder is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login and/or access information and ensuring that all related account information details are up to date. The Customer shall NOT share any such confidential information with any party, hence, acknowledges that Orange Money stands not responsible for any losses and/or damages that may result from unauthorized access due to sharing any such information.
  16. The Company reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time, with appropriate notice to the wallet holder. It is the account holder's responsibility to review the terms regularly.
  17. The general terms and conditions of the mobile wallet service in the following link om-terms-conditions-en-new.pdf remains applicable in place. The service is subject to the laws and regulations of the Central Bank of Jordan.
